A selfie can overshadow a memorial service

The director of the Media Psychology Research Center, Dr. Pamela Rutledge, thinks that the selfie is being over-analyzed. First, she says: ”they aren’t really that new”. She published in her column for Psychology Today that the term selfie was defined in UrbanDictionary.com in 2005, now, ”they’re just more prevalent”. Continue reading

The aim of this post, is to analyze how Fernando Alonso uses new technologies and specially social networks and how he introduces himself as a fan of this technological world online.

I have chosen Fernando because I consider him a well integrated person on the net as he says “I think there is never enough technology,” he may appreciate it because “Technology is our motivation and the main goal for engineers and designers”.fernando1

Damm, a company with “star”

In the spring of 1872, August Kuentzmann Damm and his wife Melanie left their native Alsace because of the franco-prussian war. Like many immigrants of their time, they chose Barcelona.

In 1876, August founded this beer company and after more than 130 years Manufacturer_Beer_Estrella_Damm_4and eleven generations of   Master Brewers, they continue to produce their beer with the same excitement as they did the first time.

This company has improved and developed to adapt to the latest advances in the technological area. Damm is easily found in social networks, being a spanish brand leader in Twitter  in  the food industry, it is the spanish company which has got most followers (6.000). This is the main reason why I have chosen Estrella Damm.

The aim of this post is to analize how this  company “Estrella  Damm”  promotes around internet and social networks like Tuenti, YouTube, Facebook,…

Civility on the net

The need of a so-called code of conduct seems out of question for many users of sites and bloggers. However, the mechanism which could help to achieve it are under discussion. The aim must be create a system for sites to state their policies.

A lot of people try to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target other people on blogs. A lot of them are not brave enough to take responsibility for their own words and for the comments they write down on the net, and they signed as anonymous. If it was not harmful enough, weblogs have being created to encourage cyber-bullying. Right after, I will mention some ideas that Tim O´Reilly thinks might entail a code of conduct.
